Children’s Centered Mindfulness Based Course Week 8
Researched for over 40 years, mindfulness, practiced over an 8-week time period has shown evidence to support an increase in compassion, awareness and concentration, decrease reactivity, provide greater emotional regulation, and improve a greater understanding and accepting of one's emotions.
This particular series will be adapted to meet the needs and interests of children 12 and under. Our children and our future generations are in need of the resiliency skills provided by mindfulness now more than ever. Your children will be met where they are with compassion and individualized attention and adaptations to the curriculum. Be sure to share any additional information with the teacher in order for Rebecca to adapt the curriculum each week to meet the group’s needs. Registration ahead of time will be a huge benefit.
Classes will be Saturday mornings from 10am-11am starting October 2nd. Each week we will complete practices that will increase our awareness and compassion.

Sunday Sangha
Are you looking to learn more about meditation, or maybe find a “Sangha” to deepen your practice and connect with other meditators? Join us twice a month on Sunday for an in-person guided meditation practice. Learn the various mindful meditation practices rooted in insight meditation lineage, with an opportunity to discuss experience and connect with community. While having an at-home personal meditation practice is beneficial, connecting with others in meditation on a regular basis can strengthen your personal practice.
Sunday Sangha’s are always pay-what-you-can in order to reach the greater community and effect more lasting change. In an effort to strengthen this message, our Sangha time will change to a starting time of 2:15 after DECA City Farms closes up shop for the day. DECA is a pay-what-you-can local Lancaster market. MindfulYou encourages you to check out and support DECA and then come and settle in for more community and meditation at Sunday Sangha.

Introduction to Mindfulness
Mindfulness is becoming quite the buzz word these days. Have you found yourself wondering about it and wanting to know what all the hype is? Join us for 2 hours on June 10th and discover the magic of mindfulness.
We will discuss the origins, history, and philosophy, as well dive into the science of it. There is a remarkable amount of new research supporting the various effects of mindfulness on one's life and even more fascinating the effects on the brain! Finally, we will dive into the best practices for your own life that you can implement right away. The science to support the benefits of mindfulness and meditation is increasing every year. Have you found yourself wondering about mindfulness and wanting to know what all the hype is? Whether you are a beginner and looking to learn how to develop your own practice or improve and support your already established practice there is something to gain from this workshop. We will look at neuroscience to support the benefits of meditation on the body and mind as well as implement various meditation practices for you to take home.
Join us to discover the benefits mediation can have on your own life. It is the hope that we will be able to bring more mindfulness workshop offerings in the future, such as mindful eating, mindfulness in parenting, mindful habit creating, and mindful walking meditation.
