And breaking the cycle is hard on the souls of the ones who came before it. They feel responsible and the weight is heavy to hold. Like when you really begin to feel it in the body and let it be there, it’s excruciating! I know it because I was contributing to this trauma passing with my own children… I saw the pain in my kids eyes as they looked at me in confusion for what they were feeling as I lashed out at them… this was the start of me breaking that cycle, I saw in their eyes that if I did not, they would, and I would not have a real relationship with them…
